PROMPT: A struggle I overcame

MEDIUM: Charcoal

ART STYLE/MEDIUM DESCRIPTION (HOW DID YOU CREATE IT?)

: This art piece is a photo I took of my grandparents last year turned into a charcoal portrait. I created this artwork to spread true meaning of hatred. As long as I've remembered, my grandparents would always fight, and not a day went by without constant screaming and living in such condition definitely had a toll on me. I created this artwork to spread awareness on how hatred affects our daily lives. Take my artwork for example, notice how they sit apart from each-other. Even when doing the simple task such as watching TV they refuse to sit together. With this artwork I wanted to show that hatred isn't always displayed in a full on brawl, but in the petty little things, and how its these little actions that builds up the hatred to lash out on one another.
