Happiness in a jar

:I tried to portray my happiest memory of 2023, and it was my 17th birthday. I captured a portrait of my friends and myself with our memories. I went to a bubble tea/ cat cafe with my friends who have always been with me since elementary school, and they have helped me gain trust back on humans generally, and they have helped me cope with my lowered self-esteem.  I  filled up the background with roses to symbolize friendship, happiness and love since yellow rose means friendship and pink rose means love. I came up with this idea from the thought “What would be a way to keep happy memories ?” And got an idea that could somewhat connect to surrealism. Keeping happy memories in a jar. The jar also reminds me of my childhood memories of sweets being in it, and I wanted to visualize my thoughts about keeping sweet precious memories safe in a jar.
